Our adult classes welcome all levels of experience, whether trying a dance class for the first time, returning to dance after several years away from the barre, or wishing to continue dancing through University.
Many classes run all year long. New students welcome.

ADULT BALLET

Our adult ballet classes are tailored to our participants, welcoming beginners and those returning to ballet. Perfect for University students!
Adult Ballet Basics Tues 6pm
Adult Beginner Ballet Level 2 Tues 7:15pm, Sat 2pm
Adult Advanced Ballet Tues 7:15pm
Adult Level 1 Ballet Basics (no experience required) – Getting started in Ballet! Introduction to Ballet Barre, basic ballet posture, positions used in ballet, essential beginning steps, dance terminology, preparation for pirouettes, small and larger jumps, ballet technique. Steps taught will be rotated through 8 week sessions so you will continue to learn and develop your technique over the course of back to back sessions. Ballet slippers recommended but you can always start in socks! 8 Week session encouraged to progress in this program.
Adult Level 2 Beginner Ballet (1-2+ years experience) - Progressive technique development and increased pace. Learn from more experienced dancers and expand on ballet vocabulary. Saturday 2pm offers a second weekly session registering now to reinforce the skills learned. Start to feel like a dancer!
Adult Advanced Ballet (5-10+ years experience)– Participants should have a strong background in dance. Many will have had examinations and some professional training or professional dance backgrounds. Others will have had dance training when they were younger and just want to again experience that enjoyment of dance. Faster paced, company style ballet class. Be a part of this dance experience every Tuesday evening! Those attending regularly may be able to participate in our performances.
ADULT TAP
Join single classes today! Next 8 week session begins APR 30th!
Adult Beginner Tap Level 1 Wed 7pm Learn the basics of tap technique, building on skills weekly and progressing to combinations and choreography. This class is appropriate for absolute beginners or those wanting to brush up on the basics. - 3/4 hr class
Adult Beginner Tap Level 2 Wed 6:15pm Building on our foundation and expanding vocabulary of tap movements. More complex rhythms are explored and we work to increase overall confidence as a tap dancer!
Adult Advanced Tap Wed 8:15pm Fast paced, competitive level class for dancers with a strong background in tap (5-10+ yrs experience). - 3/4 hr class
ADULT CONTEMPORARY
Join single classes today! Next 8 week session begins MAR 5th!
Explore modern and contemporary techniques, building a strong foundation for the bold and expansive movements of these styles. This class follows a warm up sequence, across the floor work, jumps, centre combinations and choreography. -1 hr class.

We offer a variety of dance inspired fitness classes, changing throughout the year - check back for our next class!

HOW DO I GET STARTED?
New students welcome! To join a class, please create an online account and register to reserve a spot.
ONLINE REGISTRATION HERE - For 8 week session (when available) please choose “Enroll in class” and for Drop-in Classes pick specific class date(s).

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We recommend you wear whar you are comfortable moving in! Many adult students will come in standard dancewear and others prefer yoga wear. Footwear will be more specific to each class. Suggestions for different classes:
Ballet - Bodysuit, black or pink tights and skirt or fitted top and leggings. Ballet shoes (leather or canvas). If you do not have ballet shoes for your first class, you are welcome to wear socks.
Contemporary - Fitted top or bodysuit and leggings or shorts/ yoga wear. Bare feet (socks/metatarsal socks optional)
Tap - Comfortable fitness/yoga wear. Oxford tap shoes (lace up). Fitness - Workout wear + bring sneakers, yoga mat and hand towel for all classes!
SHOULD I TAKE AN 8 WEEK SESSION OR SINGLE CLASSes?
We do encourage 8 Week Sessions, as they are designed for participants to progress through sequentially and build on what they have learned. Regular attendance allows for the best experience possible when studying dance, and choreography often will carry over from week to week. Single Drop-In Classes are an option to take at any time (when space available) and great for those who have varying schedules, want to take classes in between the 8 Week session start dates or try out a class to find the right level! Registering for a full session secures a space for you in the class and single drop-in classes are only available if space permits.
what if i am going to miss a class?
Registering for a class holds your place in the program. If enrolled in an 8 week session, any classes missed cannot be made up or refunded. Purchased drop-in classes cannot be refunded, however you may request to defer a class to another date (occurring within 4 weeks), no less than 24-hours before the original class time.
