The Karin Hobby Dance Academy is a Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) based studio with high level training in ballet, jazz, tap, modern and contemporary. The school offers a comfortable and fun environment for children, teens and adults to study and discover the joy of dance. Director Karin Hobby has developed the studio's specialized programming through many years of teaching. Along with a faculty of skilled instructors, we aim to provide a positive experience for all students, welcoming recreational and pre-professional dancers!
ROYAL ACADEMY OF DANCE TRAINING
The academy follows the syllabus of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and allows dancers the opportunity to complete annual examinations and class awards. With terrific exam success rates, the majority of our grade exam entries in recent years have achieved the highest ranking of Distinction.
SPECIALIZED 3 Year Old program
The experienced faculty at KHDANCE is trained extensively in teaching the youngest of dancers from the very beginning... the very best place to start! Our uniquely developed "Mini Dance" programs for 3-4 year olds are highly regarded at the studio.
PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
Our dancers are involved in multiple major performances throughout the year, including the full-length Year End Recital as well as a December Recital at Wolf Performance Hall, downtown London. Additionally, students may participate in our annual Nutcracker Tour, which presents at several public schools through the holiday season.
ADULT CLASSES
We offer fantastic adult classes all year long. Various classes and styles including ballet, tap and contemporary, for beginners and experienced dancers. Our location across from the University is ideal for Western students!
Summer/march break camps & pD days
We keep our dancers busy outside of school! Students love our week long camps and Dancing PD days. Each fun program is packed with dancing, music, crafts, activities and adventures, concluding with a parent presentation.

workshops with professional dancers
We continuously provide the opportunity for our dancers to study with the highest level guest artists performing and teaching today. Through frequent workshops and week long intensives, students are inspired and challenged by artists, choreographers and teachers from professional ballet companies, musical productions and modern companies.
STUDIO OUTINGS AND EVENTS
There's always something exciting happening here! Our dancers have fantastic team spirit and love to get out and about with the school. From theatre trips and out-of-town dance events to our annual march in the London Santa Claus Parade, students can participate in many organized events throughout the year with their friends.
